🎬 Scene 1 – Shayla's Living Room
Warm afternoon sunlight shines through the curtains. Kai's toys are scattered across the floor. The room is quiet, but the tension between Shayla and D'Nisha is impossible to ignore.
"D'Nisha... there's something you need to understand."
"You can never become Kai's stepmother."
"What did you just say?"
"Who do you think you are?"
"You don't control my future."
"You don't control Kai's future."
"And you definitely don't control my life."
"You're trying to control everyone."
Kai laughs happily from another room. Both women pause for a moment before staring at each other again.
"Every decision you make creates another fight."
"You never stop."
📞 Scene 2 – The Emergency Call
D'Nisha reaches into her purse and pulls out her cellphone. Her hands shake with frustration as she dials 911.
"We're having a serious dispute involving Kai."
"I'm afraid this situation is getting out of control."
Only minutes later, flashing red and blue lights fill the neighborhood as a police cruiser stops outside the house.
🚔 Scene 3 – Police Arrive
"Please open the door."
The officers calmly separate Shayla and D'Nisha before interviewing each of them individually. After listening carefully to both sides, the officers quietly discuss the situation.
"We need to take further action."
"Please turn around."
"You are being placed under arrest while this matter is investigated further."
Shayla quietly turns around. She does not resist as the officer places handcuffs on her wrists according to department procedure.
